A beautiful movie, scenery-wise, set in the Sierra Nevada Mountains around the time the railroads were being built out there. I watched this with 3 other people - all of whom gave up on this movie and went to bed. The story was, maybe, just O.K., but I liked it. I liked the period feel of it. If you miss, or misunderstand, the very beginning scenes, then the entire movie will not make sense.

If one of those people was Curt, I'm not surprised. I hate watching movies with him. He doesn't understand or like to many movies. He always seems to think that they are stupid or he doesn't get them. I just find it hard to watch them with him.
